AN EFFORT TO MOVE TOWARDS A SLOWER AND CONNECTED WAY

Sometimes good emerges from the hard.

Susie (co-founder) launched off her mountain bike August 24 of 2022, breaking her shoulder in 8 places. The 38 days that followed were spent in stillness as there were so many breaks, that movement could cause displacement. It was a ‘break’ in so many ways. While the recovery was challenging, it presented the gift of time- a gift not often readily available in the busyness of life. It was in this time, that she became open to a dream and vision Bryan (fellow co-founder and love-of-her-life) had for years: a conscious and connected type of store, with an equal emphasis on mens’ wear.

From these 38 days came close to the same number of amazing brands, that now make up the foundation and thread of Slow Current. Learn more about them here.

Right after the accident Susie told her daughter she believed something good was going to come from all of it- and seeing this store come to fruition, perhaps it did.

Thanks for being part of our story.
